The Malibu has a fuel tank size of 15.8 gallons size and is used all over the four different models. The Chevrolet Malibu is available in the RS, LS, LT, and Premier trim levels, but they all feature familiar gas mileage across the board. Its fuel tank is great at making sure the Chevrolet Malibu stays away from frequent stops at the gas station.
The Malibu has around a 500-mile range with one full tank of gas. There are two different engines with different gas mileages for the many optional models you can choose from. The base 1.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder has a gas mileage of 36 highway miles per gallon, 29 city miles per gallon, for 32 miles per gallon combined. The optional 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine that belongs to the Malibu Premier trim gets 33 highway miles per gallon, 22 city miles per gallon, for 26 miles per gallon combined.
The Chevrolet Malibu has a 1.5-liter Turbo 4-cylinder that makes 160 horsepower. For the LS, RS, and LT trim levels the 1.5L Turbo engine is the standard (and only) engine choice on the 2022 Malibu. However, the Malibu Premier model comes with a 2.0L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that creates 250 horsepower. The Malibu is the overall reliable sedan that has earned its place in the competitive family-sedan market.

Bought a chevy pickup, still under factory warranty. A week later discovered a water leak at the back window, staining the headliner. Service advisor said he's asking gm permission to get it fixed as it's not covered under powertrain warranty. Called back the following week and was advised they have not received an answer from management, but he would call me when ready to schedule. Still have not heard back from dealer. Had to have leak fixed elsewhere.
Set up a appointment online and they got to work as soon as I got there. They let me know that I needed to replace the air filters and wiper blades. In the waiting room the donuts were not fresh and the TV was set on news that was not local.
Everyone at South Point Chevrolet was great! My experience there getting an oil change from their service department was excellent! Especially Danny Jones in the service dept.

Since I purchased the vehicle with cash, I went ahead and picked up the car as they stated that they would contact me when they have their special traveling gm tech look at it when he comes to their dealer. I needed the car.
Almost 3+months later.
It still has not been fixed. And now the check engine light came on. It has thrown several codes. One for the ecu u0100, and several other that I do not remember. Part of me believes they knew this was an issue and still sold me the vehicle anyway. I still have a vehicle with no cruise control and several other issues meaning I cannot drive the car.
Not happy.

This was my first new car purchase and they made the process very easy. I took my vehicle in for the recommended inspections and basic maintenance. It did not take long and the service advisor was very helpful. They made this whole daunting experience much easier than I expected from previous used car dealerships experiences. I would highly recommend them.
Appointment for service was easy to make. Service manager was very thorough in explaining the service they were going to perform. Provided me with a free shuttle back home and I did not have to wait. Called me a few hours later and said the service was completed. Service Manager was Chandler and he was great.

Let me start by saying that I do not like writing negative reviews, however the consumer should be warned before purchasing from this dealer. I bought a brand new 2026 Chevy Trax from South Pointe in November of 2025. I have had to put it in the service department now three times due to the engine light coming on - twice for engine/transmission issues and once for emissions. The car is still under 8,500 miles, by the way.
My last visit I was told that the engine was losing oil but they could not find the source of the leak. They put more oil in it and sent me on my way, this after sitting in the waiting area for 2 1/2 hours.
After speaking with them I was told there was nothing that could be done and that I should check the oil every few weeks because they cannot trace the source of the leak. This is unacceptable on a brand new vehicle that I paid sticker price for.
I also left several voicemails for the General Manager which were not returned and had to finally track him down at the dealership to express my concerns. Nothing has been and nothing is going to be done by this dealership to make this "lemon" that they sold me right. Use caution before buying here because I can tell you they do not care about you after the sale.
I brought my car here to get the oil changed, along with a coupon I'd received in the mail. They got me right in, on a Saturday, honored the coupon, and because they had the part in stock, replaced the recalled part as well. Chandler was super nice and kept me posted every step of the way. Will be back!

I have felt dismissed. After the oil change, the service advisor didn’t even tell me where my car was and put his finger up at me when I walked back in to ask where it was. I’ve been trying to get my car looked at for other concerns for three months now. They tell me that I have to leave it for three days before a technician can look at it.
They were straight to the point they could beat everyone else and was willing to prove what they say they will do

She told me she was gonna have the manager call me to for a solution instead she called me right back in three minutes and said the manager was busy and that I needed to bring the truck back in.
